"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the

Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to

walk humbly with your God" Micah 6:8, (NIV).

We are called to walk humbly with God. God calls us to behave

justly and to love mercy, including forgiveness and compassion.

God desires our hearts to follow Him, walk humbly with

Him, and to seek His will for our lives!

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows

from it" Proverbs 4:23, (NIV).

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" Matthew

5:8,(NIV).

"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the

full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to

cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies

washed with pure water" Hebrews 10:22, (NIV).

Dear Lord, thank you for your many blessings on our lives, for

provision, for keeping us safe from all harm. We ask You to

please help us to recognize what is eternal and what is

temporary. Our bodies and faces will be changed by different

situations in life, but with our eyes fixed on you, a deeper

beauty can shine through us and help us to teach our children

in the same way so that we will keep our hearts pure and

clean. We ask it all in the name of Jesus. Amen!
